Each Gearloom service tier is designed around a specific level of need. The process is the same regardless of which tier applies: we assess first, explain what we find, and work only with your agreement.

Every watch begins with the same first step: a thorough assessment. We inspect the condition of the movement, the case, and any visible wear before recommending a course of action. You receive that assessment in writing.
Once a service tier is agreed, we carry out the work to the same standards regardless of the watch's monetary value. Manufacturer-grade lubricants, correct tools for the calibre, and a timing measurement at completion are standard practice across all tiers.
Estimated turnaround times are given at intake and updated if circumstances change. The watch is not returned until we are satisfied with the timing results.
Intake & Assessment
We examine the watch and document its condition. A written report is prepared and shared.
Tier Selection & Agreement
We recommend the appropriate service tier and confirm pricing. No work begins without agreement.
Service Work
The agreed work is carried out using appropriate tools and lubricants for the calibre.
Timing Check & Return
Accuracy is measured. A completed service record accompanies the returning watch.

Self-Winding Service

Workshop Standards That Apply to Every Job
Correct Lubricants for the Calibre
Lubricant selection is matched to the movement type, not generalised. Applying the wrong oil to a watch component causes accelerated wear — we do not take that shortcut.
Customer Data Privacy
Watch intake details and contact information are used only to manage your service. Nothing is passed to marketing lists or third parties. Data handling follows Thailand's PDPA requirements.
No-Jargon Communication
Findings and recommendations are communicated in plain language. We use technical terms only when a definition is given alongside — so you can make decisions with a clear understanding.
Original Parts Returned
Any part replaced during a service is set aside for the customer. If you want the original component returned with the watch, it is yours to take.
Pre-Agreed Pricing, No Additions
The price confirmed at intake is the amount invoiced at collection. Any change — however small — is discussed with you before work proceeds.
Timing Verification Before Return
Serviced movements are measured on the timing machine before the watch is reassembled and cased. If the reading is outside a reasonable range, it goes back on the bench.
